Are you looking for a licensed vocational nursing program that will give you the skills and knowledge needed to start working immediately in the health care field? Take a closer look at what one of Texas leading universities, Sul Ross State University, has to offer: three full semesters of combined lecture and clinical time, giving you a total of 50 credits needed for graduation as an LVN. After graduation from this nursing program you will be prepared to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination and obtain a license as a vocational nurse. This is an approved nursing program, which satisfies all the requirements specified by the Texas Board of Nursing. In order to be considered for enrollment into the LVN program you need to have a high school completion diploma or GED and pass a basic English and math examination known as the nursing entrance exam. If your goal is to pursue a registered nurse degree in the future, the university offers several articulation agreements with other nursing schools in Texas, which will help you advance from a licensed vocational nurse to a registered nurse.
